Jaisalmer is a former medieval trading center and princely state in the western Indian state of Rajasthan in the heart of the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer is truly a ‘Land Of Wonders’, its exuberant past, culture, nature and its heritage gives us a lot to explore. Jaislmer is also known as “The Golden City” of India. It is a very popular tourist place in Rajasthan. The culture, language and tradition of Jaisalmer are to quite an extent influenced by the culture of the neighbouring area, Sind. This city has so much to offer in terms of its Culture, Music, Architecture, Crafts and traditions that every year people from around the world visit here and experienced the real taste of Rajasthan and desert life. In Jaisalmer people wear traditional costumes. They genrally seen or dressed in bright colours like Pink, Red and Yellow, along with beautiful jewellery made pf silver, lac and brass. The woman are either dressed in Ghagra Cholis or Sarees, with the Odhnis forming an essential part of the overall attire of Rajasthan women.

Jaisalmer Fort nestled on the golden sands of Thar Desert, it is not just a fort but a mini- town with houses, temples, shops and restaurants. One of the largest forts in the world, Jaisalmer Fort is located on the southern edge of the city and is popularly known as “Sonar Qila” or “Golden Fort”.

The Jaisalmer tour is incomplete without enjoying and experience the Desert Safari. The Desert Safari is usually conducted in jeeps or personal cars, you can also enjoy the camel safari over the dunes that will give you a feeling of having stepped back in history. Visitors usually prefer taking these safaris early in the morning, the night is when the desert indeed comes alive.
